What brought me here

I have struggled with chronic pain, inflammation, and back issues from an early age, experiencing many ups and downs in my personal practice. We often hear phrases like "no pain, no gain" or "if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you". This is certainly true for those who do not have any dysfunctions, pathologies, or imbalances. However, for individuals living with chronic pain, trauma, an unregulated nervous system, or specific conditions, it's essential to adjust and modify our practices to fit our unique needs. We must work with the natural capabilities of our bodies and minds to optimize our well-being.

Through my own tedious trials and errors, as well as extensive research—including numerous specialized teacher trainings, reading many books and relevant articles, and engaging in discussions, webinars, and lectures with medical professionals and industry leaders over the years—I have gradually transformed my practices and teaching style. My focus has shifted to creating a safer, more functional, and accessible experience that employs a spine-safe approach and considers the whole person. This perspective addresses every aspect of our being rather than viewing each body part or system in isolation.

Teaching style

Gentle and functional in my approach, I provide a body-positive experience. I bring accessibility and uniqueness to my classes with an emphasis on spine and joint safety and mental/emotional well-being.

Spine-oriented

Spine hygiene is important at every stage of life. Taking care of our spine with attention and compassion benefits not only our physical health but also our mental well-being and energy levels. Many classical Pilates exercises and traditional yoga postures may not be suitable for individuals with spine pathologies or back pain. While it is possible to modify certain postures to reduce the risk of damaging the spine, some exercises can actually worsen specific conditions, leading to potentially harmful consequences.

A functional approach

In my functional approach, I believe that everyone is different, and that includes their bodies, sensations, and experiences. What works for one person might not be suitable or safe for another. My small group classes and personalized private classes allow for individual attention and customized practices, ensuring safety for all unique bodies.

Specialized classes

My classes and relaxation therapy sessions focus on the foundational elements of yoga therapy and adopt a spine-safe, trauma-informed approach. This method addresses all aspects of life, rather than treating each body part or system in isolation. Specialized classes emphasize modifications and variations to accommodate each student's unique needs, fostering harmony between the body, mind, and soul.

The studio

My private, fully equipped boutique studio and therapy room is surrounded by nature, nestled between forest and river, and born from a desire to create a space for like-minded people seeking peace and tranquility. The studio is quiet and cozy, and has a maximum capacity of 6 to 7 students per group class, depending on the type of class. This allows for a more intimate and personalized experience and greater attention given to individual needs. Private classes can be arranged as 1:1, duets, or small groups. For peace of mind, all classes need to be pre-booked to reserve your place.

Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is a microsystem therapy, originating from Traditional Chinese Medicine, that treats conditions throughout the body by stimulating specific points on the ear. It operates on the principle that the ear serves as a map, or inverted fetus, of the entire body, with points corresponding to organs and body parts.
