FUSION SLOW FLOW - YOGA THERAPY & PILATES

What is Fusion Slow Flow

Fusion slow flow is a slow-paced combination class of two transformational methods to build strength, improve stability, enhance mobility, and calm the mind. Yoga brings in elements of mindful breathing and poses to increase flexibility, balance, and mental focus. Pilates emphasizes core engagement, muscle strengthening, and controlled movements to enhance stability and posture.

What is Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is a whole-body application of yoga principles and practices, including postures, breathing, meditation, and relaxation, to address specific physical, mental, and emotional health conditions. In this class, our focus will be on addressing specific spinal conditions and enhancing overall spinal health by strengthening and stretching supportive structures and promoting relaxation.

What to expect in class

This spine-focused class will increase stability, reduce stress, improve posture, calm the mind, and strengthen the body in all the right places - from the feet and legs, hips and pelvic floor, to the core, back, and shoulders. Giving you the best of both worlds to decompress the body and mind while enhancing body awareness, pain relief, and spinal health. This class offers a low to medium-intensity 'work-in' and you will learn how to practice and move to suit your unique body.

Keep in mind

This class is accessible to all, including beginners, those with back concerns, those seeking a comprehensive fitness class, and anyone who values the health of their spine. Please discuss any limitations or spine conditions with me.

Our core philosophy
Our framework is based on functional and accessible practices, incorporating elements of yoga therapy with a focus on spine safety. Yoga therapy takes a holistic approach to better health by utilizing yoga tools to address specific physical, mental, and emotional
needs and goals.

A spine-safe approach ensures that the spine receives the necessary movement to remain healthy while modifying postures that may be unsafe or harmful for some individuals.

Our functional approach accommodates skeletal variations and prioritizes accessible postures for everyone. Through my inclusive classes, I create a supportive space for students to embrace their whole selves, allowing them to nurture and heal. I emphasize the importance of working with our unique bodies and modifying our practices to celebrate our individuality.
